Recipe: spaghetti and meat balls

spaghetti and meat balls

2 tbsp very finely chopped onion

160g extra lean beef mince

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 egg, beaten well 

Pinch oregano or other herbs

2 cups points free pasta sauce or canned tomatoes

2 servings dried spaghetti


Combine onion, garlic, mince and herbs and egg in food processor.

Season with salt and pepper and form into 12 small meat balls.

Heat a non stick fry-pan, coat with cooking spray and brown the meatballs.

Add tomatoes to the pan, and cover, simmering for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti until al-dente.

Toss together and serve with spinach or a free salad with balsamic vinegar.
